Is DaDesktop Online Conference software like Zoom or Teams?

Typically, you’d need Zoom, Teams, Skype, or WeChat alongside DaDesktop.

DaDesktop might add integrated conferencing later on, but that’s not a current focus.

What is similar between let us say Zoom and DaDesktop?

Both provide basic chat features.

Public Cloud Services

Is DaDesktop like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or Aliyun?

Public cloud platforms are meant for hosting applications, whereas DaDesktop gives people remote desktop environments to work in.

What is similar between AWS and DaDesktop?

From a user’s standpoint, they don’t have much in common. Both let you access a remote machine and run software, but AWS EC2 targets sysadmins, while DaDesktop serves training attendees, instructors, coordinators, and managers.

Some organizations still rely on AWS or similar clouds for remote training. However, standard public cloud setups tend to be pricier, slower, and less user-friendly than DaDesktop, which is purpose-built for delivering courses, not general-purpose computing.

Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Is DaDesktop like Moodle, Rise UP, Open edX or other LMS?

LMS platforms are geared toward managing education—like university courses—or self-paced online learning. DaDesktop, on the other hand, is built for instructor-led corporate training, targeting employees in businesses and government. It isn’t tailored for K-12 or college students. 

The core of DaDesktop is real-time, instructor-led course delivery, with the teacher actively present throughout.

What is similar between LMS and DaDesktop?

DaDesktop includes many features that overlap with—and go beyond—typical LMS capabilities.

Course admins can enroll participants, monitor attendance, gauge engagement, verify connections, and even record screens during sessions—all from within DaDesktop.

Much of this happens automatically. For instance, attendance is captured by the system—no manual roll call needed. DaDesktop logs user locations, connection durations, exercise completion, and more…

Those who miss a session can catch up with recordings and practice in the exact same environment as the live participants.
