Connecting Via RDP

When establishing an RDP connection, you have the choice of several clients:

• Remmina
• KRDS
• Freerdp2-x11

Among these, only freerdp2-x11 offers support for multiple monitors.
 

To connect via RDP using multiple monitors, follow these steps:
 

Installing freerdp2-x11 on DaDesktop Private Node (ddpn)

sudo apt install freerdp2-x11

Connecting to Your Work Desktop

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666

Exiting the Session

CTRL+ALT+Enter

or

Windows Start Menu > Log Off -> Disconnect

 

Redirecting Sound and Microphone

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666  /microphone:sys:alsa  /sound:sys:alsa

 

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:10.0.3.4  /microphone:sys:alsa  /sound:sys:alsa /gfx +window-drag  -compression -sec-rdp -sec-tls -encryption /gdi:hw /video
