Maximizing Your Connection Performance
Occasionally, DaDesktop may warn you if your connection seems to have high 'latency' (delay), which can hinder performance.
If that happens, follow the steps below to boost your connection.

What you can do
- If you can, connect via Ethernet. If WiFi is your only option, run a speed test (like speedtest.net) beforehand to check your connection.
- Stay as near to the wireless access point as possible. Prefer 5 GHz WiFi over 2.4 GHz, since the latter tends to be slower and more interference-prone.
- Turn off or disable any VPNs or proxies before joining the course.
- If you can, disable security apps that might interfere with your network, as they can sometimes introduce latency.
-
It may be helpful to contact your company's IT support, particularly if network or content filtering is slowing things down.
Allowing these domains can improve performance :-
1. https://\*.npg.io (any host under .npg.io)
2. https://dd4t.dadesktop.com - Avoid big downloads or uploads while the course is running. If possible, pause OS updates (Windows, Mac, Linux) until afterwards.
-
Your internet speed should exceed: "10 Mbps download & 1 Mbps upload"
