SSH Access

To make life easier, many ask for SSH access to DaDesktop machines, so participants and trainers can connect to their Desktops from their own laptops or PCs. It's natural that some prefer typing commands on their local terminal rather than inside a remote desktop's terminal.

However, even though it's technically possible, we don't allow SSH in this case, because it would unnecessarily expose the DaDesktop course machines to major security risks.

We've introduced a drag-and-drop file transfer feature that lets you effortlessly move files from your own device into the DaDesktop environment. Some requests for full SSH access stemmed from the previous lack of a file transfer method, but with this addition, DaDesktop becomes even simpler to use.

Also, note that full QEMU Spice Desktop support is now offered on both Windows and Linux OS templates, making it far easier than before to copy and paste commands from your local machine into DaDesktop, even on a Mac or with non-English character sets.

For DDOP - DaDesktop on Premise servers, SSH access is granted if you need it.
