Course VPN

The Course VPN (CVPN) feature lets desktops connect directly with one another. 

It takes over from the old "Turn off network isolation" setting. When network isolation was disabled, desktops on the same server could talk to each other, but cross-server and cross‑data centre communication was not possible. 

With Course VPN, any desktop added to a given course can communicate freely, no matter which server or data centre it sits on.

This functionality is only available for Ubuntu and Windows 10 operating systems. For other operating systems, you can still use the "Turn off network isolation" option.

Here are screenshots of the VPN network interface that gets set up when training workstations are created. Two student terminals are shown, each displaying the `edge0` network interface – that's the course VPN.

When you create a course using any other operating system distribution.
